Lillooet Ice Festival Organizers and Guides reserve sole right and discretion to cancel festival activities or the whole festival due to warm weather and unsafe ice conditions without penalty and repercussions as stated below:

  1. In the event your clinic or private guiding is cancelled due to warm weather and the festival is still running, you will receive 50% refund for the cancelled clinic or private guiding only.

  2. In the event that all festival activities are cancelled due to warm weather, festivalgoers will receive 50% refund on festival tickets, clinics, and private guiding.

  3. Please note, there are multiple locations for ice climbing within a 1hr drive of Lillooet and Lillooet Ice Fest Organizers and Guides reserve the right to change the locations at any time in order to facilitate safe clinics. This may include hiking over rough terrain with a backpack up to 60mins each way to access locations.

INSURANCE

Insurance providers offer insurance coverage to protect you against unforeseen events. We highly recommend you purchase insurance to protect yourself. The two basic types of insurance that most travelers need to consider are Medical and Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance.

With the cost of the festival, clinics, flights, car rentals, and accommodation it is a very good idea to purchase Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance.

In the event of illness or an accident before or during a trip, medical insurance is a necessity to cover the costs of hospital bills, ambulance, and air transportation. Purchase medical insurance that covers climbing, mountaineering, hiking activities, and pays for air ambulance transportation from remote locations.
